For the third year in a row, Summit Hosting traveled to San Diego, CA for the annual 90 Minds’ Meeting of the Minds, where the 90 Minds community came together for two days to build new alliances, share, listen and learn. 90 Minds is a member-only community for ERP consultants and resellers who specialize in Sage 100 / Sage 100cloud products.
Meeting of the Minds 2020 Recap
This year’s meeting (the 9th annual meeting) kicked off with a keynote session by Nancy Teixeira, Vice President of Partner Strategy & Sales for Sage North America. Nancy discussed future ready business, and the trends already impacting partners. We’re in a time of constant innovation and the Internet of things (IoT), Artificial intelligence and machine learning are completely transforming the enterprise in ways that many never thought possible. Nancy discussed the movement to the cloud, how the cloud can help, and some of the challenges that business face today.
One notable challenge: if you try to move your business to the cloud too quickly, it can impact cash flow. However, on the flip-side, if you decide not to move your business to the cloud at all, it will inevitably deter growth and prohibit your entry into new markets. Channel partners can assist customers to successfully move to the cloud through providing their guidance and expertise.
The afternoon and following day continued with presentations by the members, with a heavy focus on manufacturing, third party integrations, marketing and the future of Sage. The evening and breaks were filled with connecting and networking opportunities, from the mom’s coffee group to casino night.

Security and scalability were hot topics of conversations throughout the week, and we enjoyed sharing our ongoing learnings and focus on new technologies to continue to allow businesses to scale and grow securely in the cloud.
