Kevin Armstrong

Chief Revenue Officer

Success is not the key to happiness.  Happiness is the key to success.  If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.”

- Albert Schweitzer

Kevin Armstrong is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience within the technology sector, with a primary focus on building go-to-market strategies and high performing sales teams. Kevin came to Summit after several years as the Global Enterprise Strategy Leader at Enavate, a Microsoft partner based in the US. Prior to that, he was the Chief Revenue Officer at a SaaS software provider that developed a solution that drove automation around compliance processes and documentation for manufacturers and distributors. Kevin spent the better part of the 2000’s and 2010’s leading revenue operations for several of the largest Microsoft Partners in the world. During that time, he led five organizations into Microsoft’s prestigious Inner Circle (top 1% in terms of revenue and growth) with his focus on culture, growth and sales excellence. One of those organizations includes Tribridge, which at the time of its acquisition by DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) in 2017, was the largest Microsoft Dynamics partner in the United States. One commonality across all of those companies was their focus on driving cloud adoption and migration from legacy applications to the cloud.

Kevin started his career at Xerox and took advantage of the incredible learning platforms that were made available during those years. He studied all of the major selling books, courses and theories. One thing that he believes and brings into his management style is that they all got a part of equation right, but they missed the biggest part…the gifts and capabilities that reside within the DNA of each individual. He believes that if leaders focus on developing people…the people will deliver on building the business. He believes that people are each company’s most important asset. He is also a big believer in fostering a positive culture. It has been his experience that many (if not all) companies talk about their culture, but it is often rhetoric. Companies who truly build a culture of openness and who have a growth mindset attract and keep the best people.

Kevin is a passionate sports fan and former athlete who has devoted a significant portion of his life to developing athletes as a coach.  Interestingly, 2020 was the first full year in which he was not on a field as a player or a coach since 1978. He brought that same mentality into the business world and continues to mentor young professionals on a regular basis.  Kevin remains committed to this as a practice because of all the incredible mentors and leaders that he has worked for throughout his career. It is simply paying it forward.

The single most important element of Kevin’s life is his family.  He lives just outside of Atlanta, GA with his wife (Sarah), his three children (Aidan, Emily and Landon) and his two dogs (Lexie and Maverick). In his free time (whatever that means) you can find him on a golf course trying to attain his lifelong goal of breaking par.  Kevin is a proud graduate of Villanova University.
