90 Minds 7th Annual Meeting of the Minds Recap

We’re back from three action-packed days in San Diego at the 7th Annual 90 Minds Meeting of the Minds, and we couldn’t be more excited about the experience.

90 Minds is a group of independent ERP consultants and resellers, many of whom have strong roots in Sage 100cloud, who collaborate throughout the year to help each other find answers and solve problems for their clients. They also meet every year in sunny San Diego, CA for the Meeting of the Minds conference, filled with educational sessions, collaboration, and networking.

This was Summit Hosting’s first year as a member of the group and sponsor of the annual conference, and we were warmly welcomed by the attendees, many of whom are partners of ours who regularly recommend our Sage private cloud solutions to their Sage 100cloud customers.

The event began with a welcome reception. It felt a lot like a family reunion. Many of the members collaborate with each other throughout the year, and many have known one another for upwards of 30 years.

Team members at the conference

Tom Miller (Partner Alliance Program, Net@Work), Peter Wolf (President, Quanta CRM), Jennifer Warawa (EVP of Partners, Accountants, and Alliances, Sage), Bob Gaby (EVP, Chief Operating Officer, RKL eSolutions), Dianna Lane (Director, US Field Sales, Sage)

The next morning, Jennifer Warawa, EVP of Partners, Accountants, and Alliances kicked things off with a keynote where she emphasized Sage’s support of the Sage 100cloud partners and customers and shared news about the new Sage Business Cloud strategy.

Sage is heavily invested in offering cloud-connected solutions to Sage 100cloud users. Many of the Sage 100cloud-connected solutions are cloud-based, but in spite of the name, Sage 100cloud itself is not hosted in the cloud. But that’s where Summit Hosting fits in so nicely, as we put it, “putting the ‘cloud’ in Sage 100cloud by putting Sage 100cloud in the cloud”.

Alan Segars and Darcy Boerio presented on the benefits of Sage 100cloud private cloud hosting with Summit Hosting

Our own Alan Segars and Darcy Boerio presented a session to educate the attendees on the benefits of Sage 100cloud private cloud hosting with Summit Hosting.

Over the next few days, educational sessions were held with topic ranging from, “Wacky, Weird, and Wild Customer Stories Roundtable” to “Picture This! Power BI Data Visualization”. This is a technical crowd, so topics tend to be more of a “deep dive” nature than you’d find in a typical user conference. Presentations are done by the members themselves, sharing knowledge in areas where they have unique expertise with their peers.

But it wasn’t all work and no play. Evening events were planned each night so that the members had plenty of time to catch up and socialize in a relaxed atmosphere.
